Acupressure mat vs nail boards: what’s the difference?

Both acupressure mat and nail boards actually have the same origin: they both are inspired by the “bed of nails” first recorded in India around 2,000 years ago! They both also work on principals of acupressure and reflexology, but there are significant differences between them as well:

  1. Nail boards give next level of sensations & effects compared to acupressure mats.

All acupressure mats essentially provide self-massage and you can quite easily and quickly adopt to that level of sensations and barely notice them after some practice. Nail boards is more like an ice bath without the cold! Sadhu boards require deep meditation and breathwork to overcome the threshold of sensations to then enter calm and crystal clear presence. So if your mat became too easy or your regular meditation too hard or boring – come on board!

  2. Nail boards are your plastic-free acupressure solution.

Nail boards are made from all natural, long-lasting, biodegradable materials, unlike most, if not all, acupressure mats. Acupressure mats use plastic spikes to go skin-deep to activate energy points. We chose one of the earth’ s elements – highly conductive metal that is also naturally antibacterial. Copper nails are better for your body and for our planet.

  3. Nail boards are handmade in Los Angeles by our family.

We are a small family business and we handcraft each board for you. We chose only the highest quality wood, metal of nails, rubber, stones, and eco-friendly packaging. Copper nail cost over five times more than any other nails on the market but it’s also the best for the human body and our planet so we just go for it. Always question quality and worker’s conditions of overly cheap items.
